It doesn’t feel two minutes since our launch event for the Master Cutler’s Challenge in February, yet we seem to now find ourselves in December!
This year has brought along many challenges that we didn’t expect to be facing, and we’re both relieved, and excited that the Master Cutler’s Challenge will continue into September 2021 so that we have a chance to safely hold events, and fundraise next year. We know that for some businesses it hasn’t been possible to do any fundraising this year – and that is ok! We understand that different teams have faced different challenges, and we can’t thank you all enough for sticking by us during this time, sharing our posts on social media, sending a friendly hello on email, or having a lovely catch up over the phone/zoom.
This year has been a difficult year, and the pandemic has hit our fundraising hard. But we’ve found ways to keep shining through for our patients and families, and managed to keep on delivering our support services online and over the phone, along with finding other ways to help, when we can’t be there in person. As the year draws to a close, we wanted to update you on our plans this Christmas, and how you can help us through the Master Cutler’s Challenge this Christmas.
- If you visit: https://www.westonpark.org.uk/get-involved/christmas/ you’ll find all the ways you can get involved this Christmas, from purchasing your Christmas cards from us – to getting involved in Christmas Jumper Day!
- Share your messages of support on social media. It’s really important we continue to make people aware we’re still here to talk to anyone affected by cancer.
- You could donate a prize to our Christmas Grand Auction message this Christmas? We are doing all we can to keep shining through, and this means doing everything possible to boost fundraising before the calendar year is out, despite the challenging circumstances we all face. When we shine through for our patients, it’s because our supporters shine through for us.
If you can donate we would greatly appreciate it, and this could be anything ranging from gift-sets, artwork and toys, to experiences and services such as a dinner for two or an hour of your time. We’d love our supporters to think big, but know that no contribution is too small! The Auction will close on December 20th and we’ll continue to add any prizes donated during this time.
We’re looking forward to 2021 and jumping back into the Master Cutler’s Challenge with some events (watch out in the new year for updates on these!), and if there’s anything you’d like to see us do please do let us know as we’d love to hear your suggestions.
Please do take care, and stay safe, and again we want to thank you for your incredible support this year.
