Equal Pay Code


The final draft statutory Code of Practice on Equal Pay (currently before Parliament) gives guidance on an employer’s obligations under the Equality Act 2010, to ensure that women and men receive the same pay and other contractual benefits when they are doing equal work, and sets out good practice. This includes a five-step model for carrying out an equal pay audit.
When considering an equal pay claim, tribunals and courts will take into account any part of the Code that is considered relevant to the proceedings.
