Fancy a Quick Third?

20/01/2011

The Government have announced new measures that may mean the end of the phrase ‘popping out for a ‘swift half’. Under the changes, beer will be able to be sold in ‘schooners’ of 2/3rd of a pint, whilst wines and fortified wines will also be able to be sold in smaller measures.

The current rule that unwrapped bread must be sold in multiples of 400gm is also being scrapped.

The Government claims this will allow greater innovation in the marketing of these products.
