In the list of policy initiatives to be introduced announced today, the Government has included the following:
- A ban sale of alcohol below cost price
- Councils and police to be allowed to shut down permanently any shop or bar found to be persistently selling alcohol to children
- The maximum fine for sales of alcohol to those under-age is to be doubled to £20,000.
